O’Neil said they have plans to run this server for a few years and keep advertising it. “I’m glad I’ve finally found the community to do it with,” said Hamelin. “We thought it would be a cool and fun idea to have the community of Avon all joined up in a big Minecraft server,” O’Neil said.Īnother club officer, sophomore Haven Hamelin, has wanted to create a community server since he was a kid. Junior Vice President Christian O’Neil said he wanted to create the Minecraft server to foster a sense of community within the club. The server was created by the Esports Club officers. Recently, the gaming club has hopped on last decade’s biggest bandwagon: Minecraft, where they’ve recently created their own server. The Esports Club at Avon plays a lot of games, such as League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros.
